New York City, Day 3

Today was going to be an exciting day in NYC...we were going to see The Statue of Liberty, Empire State building, going to the CookieDo place, and many other cools things...we couldn't wait to get started!  We had breakfast at our hotel again before leaving and then took an Uber to the port where we would start our journey to see The Statue of Liberty on the boat!
dressed warm and cute as can be!

brrr...this cold cutie was ready to see the big Statue!
We tried to stay outside on the boat as much as we could but spent most of our time inside the cloaed part of the boat due to the weather!

 Amazing to see...so beautiful!

We took the boat tour that went around the entire island so we passed under 22 bridges on this our!
The boat cruising put this girl right to sleep once we passed the Statue of Liberty and were just touring around!
Karsyn made friends with this pigeon on the boat and would feed it and loved it so much!

trying to stay warm!

After getting off the boat, we took a taxi to the Empire State Building.  The line to get in was so long and over a three hour wait outside in the cold but thankfully GiGi had already bought our tickets ahead of time and had purchased "skip the line" tickets because we knew it would be crazy, busy at this time of the year and we were so happy she did.  We were able to walk right in and go right up to the top with no line at all.

It was so beautiful when we got to the top and looked out...it was a clear day and you could see for miles!  But it was windy and extremely cold!!  We took some pictures, looked around, and left after about 30 minutes...I hated that we didn't stay longer but it really was cold up there!

fascinating!!!

The kids were hungry after we left the Empire State Building and spotted a Wendy's right across the road and wanted to eat there!  GiGi and I were not loving that idea, so we took the kids to eat at Wendy's and then her and I ate a yummy hot dog from Gray's Papaya Dog (famous from the movie Fools Rush In).  Their hot dogs are so yummy!

After eating, it was time to head to CookieDo!  This is a place that serves raw cookie dough that has no egg in it so you can eat as much as you want!  I had heard about it through a friend and it was on my must do list of things to do in NYC!  There was a wait to get in the store, so I waited outside for about 45 minutes to get in while GiGi and the kids waited in a coffee shop keeping warm.  I am so thankful there always seemed to be a place for them to keep warm in...it wasn't fun waiting in lines outside in the cold but I was happy to do it as long as they could all keep warm somewhere while I waited!

We all tried different flavors and all were oh so delicious!

After filling our bellies with cookie dough, we took a taxi back to the hotel where we dropped some things off and took it easy for a bit before heading back out.  We went right across the street to Rockefeller Center and gazed at the Christmas tree some more, took more pictures with it too, watched the people ice skating and saw several marriage proposals on the ice, and then had dinner at The Rock Center Cafe where we could sit and watch the ice skaters right by the window!  The kids loved being able to do this because tomorrow we were going to ice skate right here and the food was delicious at this restaurant!

We loved watching the light show in Rockefeller Center too!

 Karsyn LOVES lobster bisque!

After dinner, we walked around Rockefeller Center taking in all the sights before heading to our hotel across the street for the night.  A magnificent day in the big city it had been!
