We woke up this morning so excited to explore NYC! It was so frigidly cold outside so we had to put on lots of layers of clothes to wear out exploring. We were bummed because we received a call from the company that was supposed to be taking us on a carriage ride all the way through Central Park complete with hot cocoa but they said it was just to cold for their horses to be out and were canceling all rides for the rest of the week! :( Marlee was beyond sad because of course she was really looking forward to this! But, no worries, we had lots of other fun things planned!
We first ate breakfast at the hotel before heading out and our first stop was The American Girl store! It was three stories full of fun and the girls loved shopping there!
After shopping at The American Girl store, we got a taxi and went to Central Park to explore! We were hoping maybe some horses would be out and we could get a carriage ride even though it wouldn't be the one we had originally scheduled but there were no horses anywhere! It was just to cold for them to be out so they were snuggled up somewhere in their stables! The kids had fun though climbing lots of rocks, finding cool leaves, and just being kids and running around the park! We stayed and played in Central Park for over an hour but at that point we were all frozen almost and the girls and I's feet were just so cold! We knew we had to get some warmer boots to wear! We knew it was going to be cold but it was just way colder than predicted so we had to do some NYC boot shopping!
$4.99 per minute per ride! That is crazy...we defiently didn't go on one of these at that price!
The taxi took us to the UGG boot store which was crazy busy and had a line outside waiting to get into the store but they let us in quickly because we had the kids and thank goodness they did! The store was like a madhouse trying to find boots but after about an hour and a half, Marlee, Karsyn, and I all had new boots and our feet were much warmer!

After getting our new boots, we called a taxi and had them take us to Rockefeller Center
to get some lunch and a treat for the kids at The Godiva store! Yummy!

| We stopped by The Today Show and normally would have tried to go and stand there while they were Live but not this trip, it was just too cold! |

We then went back to our hotel and got ready to go see The Rockette's Christmas Spectacular! We were so excited to see this show! The girls had watched The Rockette's on TV several times so this was going to be so fun to see them in person!
We had great seats right up front and the show was amazing! Truly Amazing!
We got to meet this Rockette and she was so sweet to the kids! They loved talking to her!
After the show, Karsyn hailed us a taxi and we went to Times Square! Times Square was getting all ready for the big New Years ball drop, so it was crazier than usual! We went in to a few stores and then I met up with my lifelong friend, Laura Halloran right in Times Square! It was so neat that we were both in NYC at the same time and with millions of people we still saw each other! So fun!
After chatting with Laura for a bit, we were all about frozen, so we went to Junior's Diner for dinner! Junior's was an awesome place to eat! The kids drank lots of hot cocoa, had delicious food, and GiGi and I enjoyed sitting back, eating a yummy dinner and talking about our trip!

After dinner at Junior's, we walked to The M & M store and the kids had so much fun exploring the 3 story store full of yummy treats! They each got to pick out one treat and were all smiles!
We explored around Times Square until around 11 pm before heading back to the hotel!
We had an awesome second day in NYC!!!
