Week 25

Marlee has learned all about the letter Rr this week and had a fun week at school!

 She was tired this morning and really not wanting to go to school but rather stay home in her pajamas with Mommy and Karsyn :(

Last Newborn Diaper

I love the itty bitty newborn diapers and was so sad today that Karsyn Blair wore her last newborn diaper.  There is just something about those little diapers that melts my heart...and thank goodness she stayed small enough to wear them for 10 1/2 weeks but she has outgrown them now and is ready to move up to size 1 diapers!  I love everything about this sweet girl even changing her diapers!!!

Pete

This afternoon, we went to see Pete.  Marlee walked him across the pasture and fed him some treats while I was getting the saddle all ready for her to ride.  She was picking him some grass to eat and sadly grabbed a handful of stinging needles (itch weed) and started screaming!  It took me a minute to realize what had happened and she was screaming in pain.  I rushed her to the sink to put her hands under the cold water and tried everything I could find at the pasture to put on her hands to try and give her some relief...sadly I had no itch cream or anything...poor girl screamed for almost an hour in pain and Pete was just as worried about her as I was and if he could have walked in the bathroom to check on her I think he would have but he stood right outside the door.   She kept saying, "Pete is really worried about his Mommy, isn't he?" Finally after about an hour and mommy scratching, massaging her hands, the pain let up a little bit and Papa came and killed that mean, bad plant for us and Pete gave her kisses on her hands to help them feel better!

Meet Your Neighbor Event at Highlands Hammock

Courtney called us today and asked if we wanted to join her, Christen, Charlie, and Gracelyn at Highlands Hammock for the Meet Your Neighbor event they were having.  Mr. Dusty was going to be there in with all his cool SWAT team stuff as well as lots of other service men and women with their cool things so we did!  Marlee loved getting to squirt the big water hose, get in the helicopter and bulldozer and look around, see a bear cage, look at fossils, and get lots of cool prizes to bring home.  She even got to pet a police dog and give Smokey the Bear a big hug!  Karsyn enjoyed herself too sleeping on Mommy's shoulder! :)

Popsicles

While Karsyn was napping this afternoon, Marlee and I enjoyed a popsicle together outside in the beautiful weather.  I love these special times with my big girl!

Week 24

Marlee had a wonderful week at school this week.  She learned all about the letter Qq and loved singing her song about the letter Qq...Qq, Qq, Queen Bee...ahh watch that sting!!! :)

A fun afternoon riding Pete

Marlee loves to ride Pete...everyday she ask, "Can we go see Pete today"! :)  When we arrived at the pasture, Pete came galloping across the pasture and had his head in the door to see Marlee before I could even get her out of her seat.  The love between them is definitely mutual! 

Cracker Trail Riders

After school today, I took Marlee and Karsyn on an adventure to see the horse riders riding on the annual Cracker Trail ride from the west coast to the east coast through all the cracker trails.  We drove down Highway 66 and found the riders, so we pulled off of the side of the road and got out and watched them as they rode their horses past us.  Marlee was so excited to see all the horses but kept saying, "Can I go get Pete and ride with them please, Mommy".  I told her, "One day maybe that would be a fun adventure to do with Pete"!  Marlee was excited to get lots of waves and smiles from all the cowboys and cowgirls!!!  

Tummy Time

Karsyn likes a little bit of tummy times these days, but prefers to be held or laying on her side or back :)

Rainy Day

It was a rainy day today, but Marlee said, "Don't worry Mommy, I'll go check the mail for you so you don't wet"!  And with that she got herself ready and checked the mail for us!

Karsyn is 2 months old!

I can't believe it's true, our sweet Karsyn Blair is 2 months old!!!  We had to go to the doctor today and she had a great check-up, weighing in very healthy at 10 pounds 14 oz and 23 inches long.  Sadly, she had to get three shots which made her feel very yucky the rest of the day.  :(  We love this sweet girl so much!!!

And might I add...is not too fond of riding in her car seat in the car right now :(

Cullen's 2nd Birthday

Cullen turned 2 today and had a fun fishing themed birthday party!  The kids even got to go fishing off the dock!  We loved celebrating this sweet boy on his birthday!

Week 23

Marlee had a great week at school this week!  She loved making all their Valentine crafts and learning all about God's love for us and showing him our love to him.  She also learned all about the letter Pp this week! :)

And I love her soooo much too!!!

Valentine's Day 2014

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day this year!  We are so in LOVE with our two happy and healthy girls and feel so LOVED and BLESSED by God.  Karsyn was excited to celebrate her first Valentine's Day, Marlee and Karsyn LOVED all their special Valentine gifts they received, Marlee had a fun party at preschool with her friends, we had a Valentine lunch with GiGi, Papa, and Grandma Peggy, Marlee spent time with her Valentine as she called him, Pete, we took red roses to Grandpa and Big Granny's graves, and had a yummy dinner at home as a family that evening.  Daddy even surprised all his girls with roses when he came home.  We sure felt the LOVE today!!! 

 For Valentine's Day, Karsyn received her first Bible. :)
