Happy to be home

It is so much fun to go away on trips but it is also so nice to be home! Karsyn Blair was very happy to be home and fell asleep on my bed! Gracie had been staying with Mammy and Pappy while we were gone which she loves to do but she was happy to be back in her bed also and with her sisters! Marlee and I took a few pictures to send to Daddy since he is still in the Keys because we know he is missing us so much!!! ;)

Longboat Key

We arrived home today from a fun filled three days in Longboat Key with GiGi and Easton! Longboat Key is so pretty and the kids had SO much fun! On Tuesday when we arrived it was super windy on the beach and very rough in the ocean so we decided to make it a shopping day at St. Armands Circle right down the road. We all had fun browsing the stores and did find a few treasures! We ate dinner there as well at a very yummy but oh so slow Italian restaurant and ended the evening with yummy ice cream for the kids. Marlee got a huge waffle cone with chocolate ice cream topped with tons of sprinkles...she was a very happy and messy girl when she was finished. We stayed at the Longboat Key Club and had a very spacious room so the kids had fun playing in there and Karsyn Blair even mastered crawling in the room on Wednesday July 30! I can't believe she is now crawling! Wednesday morning we made our way to the pool and beach and stayed there ALL DAY LONG! Karsyn Blair was such a trooper..she hung out in the cabana the resort had on the beach and had the best time! The current was very strong in the ocean so the kids mostly played on the beach catching sand fleas and finding shells and then swimming in the pool. GiGi even went to Publix and got us food and we had a picnic on the beach which was super fun! Wednesday evening we ate dinner at Dry Dock which was super yummy (the lobster tacos were fabulous) and then went back to St Armands to shop a little and had frozen gelato for dessert. Daddy is in the Keys this week lobstering and he sent us some pictures of the lobster he caught. They did great and we were so happy he was having fun! Thursday morning we woke up to the sad fact that we had to leave the beach. :( Time flys when you are having fun...we loaded up and shopped some in Sarasota before heading home. We made lots of memories together and had a great getaway! :) Thanks GiGi for a special summer getaway!

Karsyn Blair's 1st lemon

Karsyn Blair tasted her first lemon today at Outback! She thought it was pretty sour but enjoyed it for a little bit!

Marlee and Mary Kate's 1st sleepover!

Marlee and Mary Kate had their first sleepover last night! They were so excited to have this...Mary Kate brought her sleeping bag and they were determined to "camp out" in Marlee's bedroom when it came time for bed. They played all evening and had so much fun, put on a talent show for Daddy (Uncle Bear), ate pop sicles in the bath tub and had many, many horse shows! When it was time for bed, I told them lots of stories with the flashlight shining just like we were out camping! They finally fell asleep around 11 pm and slept good! This next morning we cooked them a homemade pancake breakfast and they played until Mammy came and picked them up to go swimming at her house! A success for sure with their first sleepover!
