We had a busy and blessed Christmas Eve this year. We rested some this morning since we did not get home until late (or early this morning actually) and then we got busy unpacking, wrapping presents, opening a special present from SIS Kaleigh, and making cookies for Santa all before leaving to head to Frostproof to visit Pete and give him his Christmas present and then do Christmas with my side of the family. Pete was so very happy to see the girls since he had not seen them in over a week and ate the whole bag of carrots we took him and loved all of the sweet hugs and kisses from Marlee and Karsyn. We then went to GiGi and Papa's house and celebrated Christmas with them along with Grandma Peggy, Uncle Frank, and Easton. The kids got lots of fun gifts. Marlee got a new big horse from Uncle Frank and Easton and Karsyn got her first Cabbage Patch Doll from them and then they got lots of toys from GiGi and Papa. Then Marlee's big gift was a giant (ride on in the house) horse for and a white rocking horse for Karsyn. They both LOVED their big gifts! They received money for their savings accounts from Grandma Peggy which is always wonderful. After presents we had a nice dinner and all signed the annual Christmas tablecloth and then made our way back home. Santa was on his way and we had to get the reindeer food made, Santa cookies and milk set out, and in bed so he would stop by our new house! Ho Ho Ho, Santa is on his way!!!
SIS Kaleigh got the girls the sweetest gifts this year. They both got a reindeer! Marlee's reindeer is an Elf Pet reindeer. So Ellie, our Elf, now has a pet reindeer to stay with us during the holiday season. The girls got to name him and his name is Jingle Bell! They can touch him and play with him and he is just so cute. On Christmas Eve though, he is to sleep with the girls and when Santa arrives at our house, he will get Jingle Bell from the bed and take him back to the North Pole with him to be with Ellie until next December. Such a sweet idea and gift!!! And Karsyn's reindeer is one she can play with and has a shiny red nose that lights up and sings to her. She LOVES it!!!
Making cookies for Santa...with us being gone to Colorado and just getting home and trying to get everything done today in one day we opted to make Santa some cute and easy FROZEN cookies. Marlee thought it was great and so did I. I'm sure Santa will love them just the same as if we had had time to make pretty homemade one ;)
excited to see Pete...calling him across the pasture...and he came galloping...
feeding him his Christmas carrots :)
She wanted to give him this Christmas scarf so bad and thought it looked so pretty on him.
a few more carrots...okay maybe the whole bag!!!
Karsyn LOVES Pete too and gets so excited when we are with him.
Christmas at GiGi and Papa's now...
Marlee thinking about what she wanted to write on the tablecloth...She wrote her name and then drew a horse :) and for Karsyn we drew some cute boots and said, "these boots are made for walking and that's just what I'll do" since she is walking everywhere this Christmas!

Now home to make reindeer food which consisted of carrots, oatmeal, and corn.
sprinking it out on the grass in the backyard...a perfect place for the reindeer to land :)
Now putting Santa's cookies and milk out in front of the fireplace
Santa's coming...YAY!!!
ummm...Girls, that milk and cookies are for Santa...poor Santa only got two cookies and a little bit of milk after Marlee and Karsyn got done with his snack
oh we aren't supposed to eat those cookies Mommy????
Santa sent a note saying that Marlee and Karsyn could touch and hold Ellie, our elf, tonight since she would be leaving us until next December. Marlee was so excited to love on her!
the girls looked so cute in their matching pajamas from Mammy! :)
Reading Twas the Night Before Christmas...
The girls love to be read to :)
Marlee was so excited to get to sleep in Mommy and Daddy's bed tonight and have her reindeer, Jingle Bell sleeping right beside her. She knew Santa was going to pick him up and take him with him when he came but she was excited to snuggle with him until he came.
Marlee colored a horse picture and left it for Santa! :)
Good night, sweet dreams...Santa is on his way!!!
