Happy Birthday to Mommy!!! How lucky was I to wake up on my 33rd birthday in Aspen with it snowing and truly a winter wonderland! We had a yummy breakfast at home, Uncle Frank went flying (he has his pilot's license) over Aspen, and Papa stayed in bed resting while the rest of us went to Buttermilk to do some skiing! Daddy hit the slopes while GiGi, Karsyn, and I took Marlee and Easton to ski school. They were so excited to ski and we were so excited to watch them. They had the best instructors and both did amazing! They were in different classes but often saw each other out on the slopes! :) They did a morning lesson and by lunchtime were pretty worn out! Uncle Frank joined us after his flight and Bear came by the ski school and they both watched the kids ski before they went up the mountain to ski more. The kids received their certificate and we enjoyed lunch at the ski lodge before returning home to find Papa feeling MUCH better! We were so exited! We had an exciting afternoon of a sleigh ride through the countryside of Aspen and it was AMAZING! Marlee was in heaven around the horses and even got to ride up on the front of the sleigh for the ride. The horses galloped through the snow and we saw some beautiful back country, enjoyed hot chocolate at a beautiful bridge and galloped more through the snow singing Christmas carols before ending our sleigh ride back in town. Such a fun birthday present from GiGi and Papa...we all enjoyed this activity! We then had dinner downtown at Jimmy's. It was delicious and we even ended the night with a yummy birthday dessert and song. We walked around town after dinner with snow falling all on us and then played out in all the snow till late...it was amazing! A birthday I won't soon forget. :)
