Gingerbread Houses

Daddy had some Christmas presents to put together at home after breakfast, so Marlee and I went to GiGi's house to make our annual Gingerbread houses.  Last year, we said that had learned that the icing does not make the walls of the houses stick together too well when little fingers are trying to decorate the houses and that we would hot glue the houses first next year and they would be much easier to decorate.  Well, we forgot about that great idea so we had to use icing to build the houses.  We were supposed to have five houses to make into our village ..well in the end we only ended up with three but they were prefect and WE WILL use hot glue next year to build the actual houses!  ;)  Marlee wanted to eat all the candy we had to decorate the houses, so we had to replace the candy with a bowl full of Cheetos for her to snack on while we make the houses.  She loved the icing, like any girl does, and had a ball decorating her house.  She kept saying, "this is fun, Mama"!  It was a great time shared with GiGi and Marlee was very proud of her finished product! :)
 Yummy icing!
