Busch Gardens, Santa, and Coldstone

GiGi wanted to take her sweet grand babies out for a day of fun today, so we loaded up and hit the road to Busch Gardens.  Easton and Marlee both love Elmo and trains so Busch Gardens was a perfect place to go. The park was not too crowded and they had a blast in Sesame Street Land meeting the characters, riding the rides, playing in the tree house  and watching the Sesame Street show.  We then left there and went and fed these beautiful and friendly birds nectar.  We bought two cups of nectar and let Marlee and Easton hold it up to the birds and they would eat it right out of their hands.  GiGi even got one bird to walk on her finger and then up her arm and he even sat on her shoulder.  The kids thought that was awesome!  Next, we hopped on the train and rode it around looking at all the animals.  The train is so good about getting you close to the animals and we loved seeing the gazelle, giraffes (there were baby giraffes too), elephants, zebras, and rhinosaurus, as well as a baby rhino, which was so precious!  After about three hours, everyone was tired and we decided it was time to go.  We stopped at Lakeside Village on the way home and let Marlee and Easton visit with Santa.  Easton was very good about telling Santa exactly what he wanted for Christmas and smiled so big for the picture   Marlee was a little unsure about sitting on his lap, but wanted to put on a show for him.  She would stand in front of him, and say "watch me, Santa" and would jump and dance around!  After visiting with Santa, we took the kids to Coldstone for a ice cream treat which they both enjoyed!  :)  We have a great day with GiGi and are so thankful for everything she does for us!
