We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Sprinkles babies this week! We knew they were due and kept watching for signs that she may be having them. GiGi made a box for her to have them in and we introduced Sprinkles to the box and put a comfy towel in it for her. Well, Friday evening we could tell Sprinkles was acting a little different..she wanted to be with us all the time not out hunting like she usually likes to do and just was acting uncomfortable...we just knew when we woke up that she would have had the babies that night. Well, early this morning we woke up and ran upstairs to check and see and there were no babies. Sprinkles however was so happy to see us and would not leave our side. She wanted to be right with the girls and wanted them to be petting her constantly. She started meowing loudly and pacing and I knew she was in labor. We took her out to her birthing box and sat with her rubbing her back and after a little bit, she started pushing! The girls were very interested and I let them watch the whole process. I think it is a very neat process to see and Sprinkles truly wanted us there with her and got upset if we left. We watched her give birth to three of the most precious babies! She cleaned them up so well and started nursing them right away and truly had an easy process! We were so proud of her and as Karsyn said, "I'm a Grandma now" because Sprinkles is her cat! We have two black and white kittens that look like little dairy cows and one that is gray and white like Sprinkles! We are so excited!!!
