Grooming the horses

Marlee has been having lots of fun grooming her horses...she especially loves the real working water hose!

Marlee's Potion

Marlee and I were outside playing when she decided she wanted to make a potion.  A potion made up of various things that she could put out in the back yard to catch animals like raccoons, armadillos, and pole cats (skunks).  So, she gathered some flowers, pine bark and acorns and then we came in and got a bowl and she began to add all sorts of things from the kitchen.  Bread, parts of her gingerbread barn, sprinkles, salt, pepper, cheese balls, etc...  She used the masher and mashed it all up and then stirred it.  Then she colored the animals a pretty picture.  Next, she found the perfect spot in the backyard and poured her potion out and taped the picture up on the fence.  She was so excited and couldn't wait to see if she could catch any animals eating her potion!  I was pretty impressed with her creativity with this because this was all her idea and I loved seeing her little brain work!

Gracie and Marlee...best buds!

Marlee practicing her picture taking skills...

She did pretty good taking a picture of me and Karsyn!

New swing set

The girls got a new swing set for our backyard!  We have been thinking about getting a big wooden one but didn't know how much we would use it, so I decided to get this one to see if we use it a lot or not.  If we see that we do, we will invest in a bigger one but for now we have two happy girls who love to swing and slide on the one we have.  Daddy put it all together this afternoon and we are so thankful!

Meeting Grayson for the first time!

Mrs. Courtney had her baby on December 17th, so Karsyn and Grayson share a birthday!  We were so excited to meet this sweet new baby boy and went over there today to snuggle with him for a bit.  Karsyn thought he was pretty cute, like we all did.  We are so happy for Courtney and Dusty and can't wait to watch Grayson grow up!

Christmas 2014

Happy Birthday, Jesus and Merry Christmas!  Santa stopped by our house last night and left lots of fun goodies for our good little girls.  Marlee got a new purple bike that has been transformed in to a horse, Pete!  The bike has a horse head, the handle bars have reins, the seat is a saddle, and the back tire has a tail on it.  It is very awesome!  Santa was pretty creative I have to say! :)  She also received a new big stable to keep all of her horses in!  Karsyn got a Cozy Coupe car to stroll around in and another car that Mommy and Daddy can push her around in outside when we go for walks and a cool alphabet train riding toy!  And they both received a roller coaster ride for the house which is super fun!  When the girls woke up, they were so excited and happy and their smiles made this Mama and Daddy very happy!  All the girls wanted to do was play with their Santa gifts so that is what we did...we didn't open up any presents under the tree we simply went outside and Marlee rode her bike and Karsyn rode in her new car and then the girls played inside with their new toys.  They truly were having the best time!  Around 11 we went over to Mammy and Pappy's to celebrate Christmas and eat lunch and then the kids went swimming!  Around 2:00 p.m. we came home and all took a long afternoon nap which was much needed!  The girls then woke up and played more with their Santa gifts and late this evening we finally opened up our stockings and presents under the tree.  After such a long afternoon nap we all stayed up late playing with everything and just enjoying being home.  A great day indeed.

they both love riding on the roller coaster together or by their selves...yes, Karsyn can even ride it all by herself..she is so brave!

she was so excited about her new convertible!

Such a happy girl that Santa got her the best bike ever she said!

Now on to Mammy and Pappy's to celebrate Christmas with them and Aunt Bonny, Uncle Jared, Brooker, and Mary Kate

lots of fun bath goodies, new lipgloss, cool band aids, etc...

And finally about 9 :00 p.m. we opened up the presents under our tree!  I decided this year that I wasn't going to stress about having everything opened at a certain time so we took our time throughout the day opening up gifts and let the girls play with their gifts for a bit before opening another one.  It was really nice I have to say!
