This afternoon was a bittersweet afternoon for us...our sweet baby boy Cupcake (not a masculine name I know but when we named him we didn't know he was a boy :)) went to his new home! When the kittens were born, Bonny talked with me about Jared's Granny wanting a kitten and her birthday was right around the time the kittens would be 8 weeks old and big enough to leave their Mommy. So we decided that this would be a perfect match for one of the kittens.
Well, the past eight weeks have flown by and today was the day for Cupcake to go and live with Granny! The girls were very sad to tell him bye but felt comfort in knowing he was going to such a loving home. We took one last family picture and loved on him lots, made cards for him and kissed him goodbye. Marlee shed many tears, bless her, but once we started receiving pictures from Aunt Bonny showing us how happy Granny was with her sweet new kitten and how happy he seemed with Granny, her smile came right back and she was so happy!
This truly was a perfect match and I am so thankful Granny now has this sweet boy renamed Rocky to love on!
