Karsyn's First Day of Dance

Karsyn decided that she wanted to take dance this year so tonight she had her first dance class...she is taking tap and ballet!  She was a little overwhelmed going in to class with 16 other little girls but warmed up to the idea throughout it.  After dance, I treated her to a treat for working so hard!  While eating her treat and talking, I asked her "So do you like dance class"...her response..."Yes I liked it but I don't want to go back'!  So...we shall see what next week brings!

 

 

8.21.17 Solar Eclipse

We were so excited that today was the day for the Solar Eclipse that we would get to see partially!  Marlee had received glasses at school to view the eclipse through so I checked her out just a few min early and we got home just in time to start viewing it around 1:30.  It truly was amazing to watch it and to see it get somewhat darker outside...it was almost like it was tinted outside and the glare was gone.  We enjoyed the whole experience for sure!  And are looking forward to 2045 when it will pass directly over us to see!

 

Friday Night Fun

This evening we wanted to treat the girls for both having an awesome week at school, so we took them to the Arcade to play for a while.  They both won 500 tickets on games and then other tickets too on games so we left with a bag full of goodies, followed by a fun trip to Bath and Body Works for some new backpack sanitizer and then finished the evening off with The Laye and Hancock Families at Outback for dinner!  Marlee and Karsyn both loved their Friday night fun and asked if we could do it every Friday night!!!

 

Marlee's First Day of First Grade

Today is Marlee's First Day of First Grade!  She was excited, nervous, scared, overwhelmed, and so many more emotions this morning but looked beautiful and rocked it!  When I picked her up from school and asked her what she thought about 1st grade her response was, "I love it" and "I love everything about my teacher"!  I am so proud of Marlee and pray she has an amazing year filled with lots of learning, friends, and memories! 

 

Marlee and Karsyn's Dentist Appts.

Marlee and Karsyn both had dentist appointments today and both had great checkups!  After their cleanings and x-rays, Dr. Kendall decided it was time for Marlee to get sealant on her teeth so we went ahead and did that today too!  Karsyn, being the one who wants to be a doctor, loved watching them work on Marlee!  I am so proud of Marlee and Karsyn and their big pearly white smiles!

 

Marlee's special last day of summer before school starts!

Today was Marlee's last day of summer break before she starts 1st grade tomorrow, so we made it a special, fun day for her!  We started the day off with a horseback riding lesson, followed by lunch at Pizza Hut, and then a pedicure and manicure!  She had so much fun and I loved seeing that big smile on her face!  She's had a fun filled summer and I have loved every minute of spending it with her!

 

Marlee's First Grade Orientation

This evening we went to Marlee's new school, CTE and met her new first grade teacher!  She was very excited to read her name on the office wall and find out that she was in Mrs. Maibach's class this year!  Mrs. Maibach is very sweet and Marlee loved her from the minute we walked into her classroom.  She has many friends in her class this year and I know is going to have an amazing year!  See you on Thursday, Mrs. Maibach!

Karsyn's First Day of Preschool!

Karsyn was so excited this morning to start preschool!  She loves Mrs. Pam, her teacher and I know will have a great year at The Learning Station!!!

 Ms. Pam has a new puppy named, Sophie that the kids get to play with each morning!

 Karsyn was very excited to give Ms. Pam her gift...she truly is Tickled Pink to have her as her teacher!
