4th Swimming lesson

Mar had her 4th swimming lesson with Mrs. Pat today.  She did very good kicking her feet and swimming under water.  We were working today on jumping off the side of the pool and swimming back to the wall and paddling her arms.  She is definitely a little fish!  I didn't get any pictures during the lesson because we were so busy in the pool but after the lesson, I told Marlee to go stand next to Mrs. Pat and take a picture.  We love Mrs. Pat!

Homemade ice cream

Mar and E got to make homemade ice cream today with GiGi.  They made it in a big ziploc bag with heavy whipping cream, sugar, vanilla, kosher salt, and ice!  The kids both had fun shaking the bag to make the ice cream.  All of our hands were freezing from shaking the ice cold bag for 8 minutes.  Mar and E both truly enjoyed eating their ice cream with a fresh blueberry topping and sprinkles.  These are the days of summer...ahhh!!! :)

Big Dirt Pile

Papa has been cleaning the pond out at the pasture and scooping lots of dirt out of it.  He called this evening and asked me to bring Mar and E out to play on the dirt pile.  I had no idea how entertaining a pile of dirt could be.  They played for the longest time in just plain ole dirt and had so much fun!  I took two clean kids out to the pasture and left with two very dirty kids...it's okay, they washed!!!

3rd Swimming Lesson

Marlee did so good at swimming lessons today!  She cried a little bit at first and then the tears went away and the smile was on.  She had so much fun swimming with Mommy and Mrs. Pat and was kicking her feet all by herself!  She even enjoyed swimming under water today!!!  YAY!!!
Fast feet, fast feet...headed to get a toy!

Celebrating Father's Day with Pappy and Baxlee's Birthday

Tonight we celebrated Father's Day with Pappy and also celebrated Baxlee's 4th birthday! Marlee's precious cousins Rylie and Baxlee and Aunt Leslie are down from Kentucky so the kids all had a blast playing at Mammy and Pappy's.  We all swam in the pool for a while and then played in the yard.  Mammy bought Marlee and Mary Kate matching dresses so the girls wore these and we got a few cute pictures of them in their dresses.  We had a great time all being together and feel so blessed to have each other!
Baxlee and Marlee were great swimming buddies tonight!

Monday Afternoon Fun

This afternoon we had some slide fun with our friends Ashley, Ben, and cousin Easton.  Easton and Ben love to slide down the slide and Marlee loves to just play with the toys in the pool area.  She does like the slide when it's dry though!

2nd Swimming Lesson

Marlee had her second swimming lesson with Mrs. Pat today.  She cried pretty much the entire lesson but did everything that Mrs. Pat asked her to do.  At the end of the lesson when Pat was having her swim underwater, Marlee was kicking her feet all by herself!!!  We were so proud of her and know that she is learning! We are so excited!!!

Happy Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day today with the Best Dad Ever!!!  Marlee is so lucky to have such an amazing Daddy!  Bear goes above and beyond to be the best Daddy and husband and we are beyond blessed to have him.  He has been needing a night stand for his side of the bed, so that is what Marlee got him for Father's Day.  I know Mar will be his little helper too when it comes to putting it together.  She helped me pick out his card at the store and she had fun decorating it for her Dada.  We also celebrated Father's Day with some other special men in our life, Papa and Grandpa.  We had family dinner tonight and expressed our love to them.  We look forward to celebrating with Pappy and Pepa on Tuesday night.  Marlee is as lucky as she can be having such wonderful men in her life!!!  We love you guys!!! :)

Water Slide

Uncle Frank got Easton a water slide for his birthday!  He is sharing it with Marlee, so today started one of many fun days that will be spent on the water slide!  Mar is a little scared to do it by herself right now, but she will go down it with Mommy and Easton.  I'm sure in no time, she will be brave enough to do it on her own.  It sure is fun, I can vouch for that!!!
Slide fun with Ben and Easton!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Easton!!!

Sweet cousin, Easton, turned three years old today and we celebrated his special day doing just what the birthday boy wanted to do!  We all went to the big hotel with the big pool (Gaylord Palms) and to the dinosaur restaurant (T-REX at Downtown Disney)!  Easton is very into dinosaurs so the theme to his celebration was dinosaurs of course. When we arrived at the resort, we toured it because Bear and Papa had never been there before.  After looking at all the cool things there, we hit the pool.  The pool area was very crowded but we still had a blast swimming and hanging out.  After some fun pool time, we showered and got ready for dinner.  We went to Downtown Disney and ate at T-REX. The restaurant was awesome and Easton loved it!  While waiting for dinner, Marlee and Easton were able to dig for fossils which was great.  Throughout dinner, the dinosaurs make noises and meteor showers occur.  After dinner, we ordered Easton the cool ice cream birthday celebration platter that they offer and it was very neat.  It came out blowing smoke (dry ice) out of a volcano.  E was embarrassed when we all sang to him but he loved his special dessert.  We went back to the hotel and allowed Easton to open his birthday presents.  Marlee loved helping him open them and they enjoyed playing with his toys afterwards.  Easton said he had the coolest birthday ever!!!  We are so glad because he is just the coolest boy and deserves the best birthday!!!
Birthday Boy!
We stayed in the Key West section of the resort.
Checking out the snack exhibit in the Everglades section of the resort with Papa and Daddy.  Mommy is scared of snakes so I will not go in there!
The adults and big kids get arm bands when going in to the pool area but Marlee decided that she wanted one, so they gave her one.
Frank told them it was Easton's birthday so they put up a special message on the big screen by the pool.
She loves these fountains!
