First on the agenda was to check of our hotel and go to Callaway Gardens to check it out!
Once we entered into the Gardens we saw that it was so wet from all the rain and not very colorful with it being Winter so we took a quick peek around and then left.
Aunt Bonny had told us about Wild Animal Safari and how much fun it was so we decided to go check it out because we figured out animal loving girls would love it!!!
The van we rented to drive through the safari! This fun was hilarious! Only the driver door opened so we had to all crawl in through there and inside it was quite a site but that was okay...we were headed out on a safari!
Hello there Mr. Bear...nice to meet you! :) xoxo- Mr. Zebra
Marlee was so excited to feed the Elk
I thought it was so funny...while Bear was on a phone call the zebra kept sticking his head in the window at him!
Karsyn had her bag of food and was ready to feed the animals!
Marlee was too!
Can we have some food PLEASE!!!
Marlee loved feeding the zebras!
Karsyn loved feeding the elk! They were more gentle...unlike the zebras!

Marlee was very excited to feed the horse/pony!
Time to feed Mr. Bison with his big tongue!
After the safari, they had a zoo to walk through! The girls had fun walking around the petting some of the animals!
Of course, Marlee made friends with the little pony!

Big, black bears
Singing dogs...they were pretty cool!
This big boy was eating better than us...he was eating crab legs for lunch!
After the safari, we had scheduled a horse back trail ride for Marlee. As we were leaving the safari, the company called and had to cancel the trail ride because the trails were just so wet from all the rain and it was not safe. We completely understood but had a sad Marlee Grace! :( Daddy promised Marlee that he would find her another trail ride somewhere on the trip!
So, we decided to head on to to Atlanta from Pine Mountain and go to The Varsity for lunch! I love The Varsity and have many memories of going there when I was younger with my family when we would go to the Atlanta Braves games so I was so excited to take the girls!
It was a busy place as usual! Kate Kate joined us too!
Varsity girls with their hats on!
Yummy peach pie!!!
After leaving The Varisty, we took the girls over to Olympic Park to see and run around at for a bit before getting back on the road!
They had so much fun playing on the playground and running around!
Marlee was SUPER excited to find BIG ACORNS like she does at GiGi's house! She collected lots to bring home to GiGi!
Showing the girls the BIG City of Atlanta!
After leaving Atlanta, we drove over to Stone Mountain to tour it and stay the night!
The girls were so excited to get changed and head over to the main park to experience Christmas at Stone Mountain!
Warming up by the fire before we go!
Lots of lights and so pretty!
The Great Barn at Stone Mountain...lots of fun play areas for the kids!
Jumping fun
Santa was on vacation but Mrs. Claus was at Stone Mountain and the girls loved talking with her and enjoyed the Hershey kisses she gave them!
Daddy let the girls pick out a bag full of candy of their choice from the candy store for the train ride!
Headed out on the train ride to see the lights of Stone Mountain
Singing Christmas carols along the way on the train!
We stopped and listened to the Story of Christmas...the real reason for the season...so special!
Gingerbread show
The snow angel...she was flying through the air and with the help of the kids, they made snow fall!! It was so neat!
We ended our night at Stone Mountain watching fireworks over the mountain!
We were all hungry when we left the park, so we drove to town and ate at Outback before coming back into the park to stay at our Inn (as the girls called it) for the night! What a fun day this was!!!
